It has been an exciting week for our team. On Tuesday evening (January 24), Angela, my cousin Rodney’s wife, gave birth to their second child here in Tanzania, East Africa. God’s grace was evident through out the entire labor and birth. They got to the hospital a little after 8:30pm. I got a text from Rodney around 9 p.m. saying they were expecting it to be an hour or two before she would give birth. I was suprised to get a call about a 1/2 hour later saying he had been born. 
Jakaya Alan Townsend was born at 9:30 p.m. in an african hospital. He was 4 kilos, which is close to 9 lbs. Mom and baby are completely healthy and doing great. They were both able to come home the next day in the afternoon. :D:D We are all very happy and excited about this new addition. Please keep the Townsends in your prayers as they get the baby on schedule and as Jemila, the new big sister, adjusts to the new baby.
